Practicum experiences provide pre-service teachers with opportunities to develop efficacy in teaching multilingual students. An online virtual practicum with international multilingual students in which pre-service teachers both observe and teach can serve as a model for training pre-service teachers from universities in rural settings with limited access to multilingual students.
